About the Series

Jesus says this, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30, NLT)

Do you long for rest? Some people think vacation is rest. But vacating everything in life so that “I can just get away from it all” isn’t rest, it’s escape. The moment you come back, all the problems are still there…

This summer we’re going to learn how to rest. How to step back and be restored.

Rest happens not by running from life’s demands and problems, but by running to the Giver of Life. Rest is running to Jesus.

I hope you’ll join us as we learn what it means to truly rest and be restored. We’ll begin on Sunday, June 3, 2012. See you then!
