One of Paul’s sources of joy throughout Philippians is the church’s God-given ability to stand firm in the Lord. By choosing discipleship, guarding our kinship, and by living out Christ-centered citizenship we can stand firm in the Lord, and thus as one of the products of that standing firm, we can become agents of joy.
