Nehemiah was sent by God to rebuild the city walls of Jerusalem. As we observe the sending of Nehemiah we see that Nehemiah’s heart was first focus on God. This motivated his ministry and empowered him to obey, even in the face of opposition. Nehemiah is also an example in the way he loved his city, and his life challenges us to love our community.
