We Preach Jesus.

We’re fond of saying, It’s All About Jesus! – Why? Because It’s All About Jesus!

Preaching at Wawasee Bible focuses on what Jesus has done to rescue, redeem, and restore us by his work on the cross. God’s Word is clear that apart from Jesus Christ, we’re hopeless to save ourselves. So rather than offer self-help that would explain how you can make your life better, we preach repentance and how in turning to Jesus, he will make you better.

As a general rule we preach through entire books of the bible, verse by verse, explaining how all of it points to Jesus.

It's All About Jesus, My Shepherd (Part 1)

Psalm 23 is among the most known and loved of all Bible passages. This message will cover the first 3 verses. Psalm 23 begins with "The Lord is My Shepherd...." and reveals the deep personal connection between us and the Lord. He will never leave us or forsake us. He is the performer of his promises and the life-giver and will never fail us. We want to return his love and faithfulness by listening to his voice, following him, obeying him, and trusting him. He will always provide. He restores our souls. No one knows or understands your soul as Jesus does. We want to "return" our souls to Jesus as He alone ultimately is the one who repairs and restores our soul. The Lord makes clears there are only two paths in life and everyone is on one or the other, so by God's grace we follow Jesus who keeps us and guides us on the paths of righteousness for his glory and our good.

Scripture References: Psalms 1:1-3, Jeremiah 6:16, Psalms 147:3-5, Matthew 7:13-14, Matthew 6:33-34, John 10:11, Exodus 3:14-15

From Series: "Jesus: My God in the Psalms"

Is Jesus just Jesus or “my Jesus” to you? To follow Jesus means we are possessive toward him, and Jesus is possessive of us. To know Jesus, then, is to know him as My King, My Light, My Shepherd, MY God.
